Fig leaf bowl for eggs

I used the largest fig leaf from my garden to create an organic form to contain eggs in our kitchen. After rolling out some stoneware clay, I pressed the leaf into the surface to create details of the veins to work with. I cut around the leaf and curled it up inside a suitable size mould and used newspaper balls to create the shape, whilst it dried. After bisque firing, I dribbled Chromium oxide into the vein details and coated the top with Shino glaze.
